Xero’s new mobile app

The app that keeps you connected to your business, anywhere at any time. Xero mobile is an application available to android and IOS users, that connects you to your Xero organisation

During 2020, Xero have focused much of their development efforts on their mobile application space, making managing and running your business on the move so much easier.  Here are some of the features that benefit business owners who use the Xero app:

  • As you open the app, you are met with a dashboard that summarises your business:
    • A list of your bank accounts summarising the balance and notifying you if there are any transactions that need to be reconciled.
    • Sales and purchases summary showing invoices overdue, invoices outstanding, and bills to pay – allowing you to stay on top of your bills.
    • A summary of your profit for the month, showing a comparison to last month, and how it is made up.
    • A visual representation of the total monthly cash in and cash out for the last quarter, giving you a quick glimpse of your spending vs. income and your cash flow trend.
  • Tapping into your bank account from the above dashboard enables you to reconcile your connected bank account in minutes. With the newly developed find and match functionality, you can search for and match multiple entries to a statement line, or partially allocate a statement line to a transaction – reconciling your bank account could not be easier.
  • Get more customers by quoting directly from your phone and sending it immediately. Once the job is done, you can convert that quote to an invoice – on the move!
  • Manage your customers by updating their details or viewing key data like; the balance on their account or the average number of days it takes them to pay their invoices. You can call or email your client directly through the app. One of the features that is amazing is the ability to tap on your clients’ address, which will open your maps app, and you will be directed to their address.

Having this functionally at your fingertips at any moment will certainly enable business owners to stay on top of their finances – but what about operations.
